Virtual country seminar: South Korea, food, 15.04.2021

2014 BMEL nur für Kooperationsprojekte De

With an export volume of € 627 million in 2020 (-9.4 %), South Korea is the second largest Asian export destination market for the German food industry. The market is characterised by socio-economic changes, e.g. the rise in consumer incomes, the westernisation of lifestyles, the growth of online food markets and the spread of convenience stores. These changes are driving demand for new products. Made in Germany stands for quality and safety and serves the desire for high-quality food.

The South Korea seminar is designed to enable participants to assess the current economic situation and the Covid-19-related changes in the marketing situation and to draw concrete conclusions for their export activities.

Top-class speakers will report on 15 April 2021 (9 a.m. German time) about the current market situation and the food industry in the country, food controls when exporting to Korea, Korean e-commerce & coupang as well as empirical values on exporting to the country. If you are interested, please contact the GEFA office. The seminar will be held in English.
